The Beast

The Beast is a Gabber and Early Hardcore DJ from the North East of England.

He developed a love for Hardcore and Rave music at the age of 12, when he pressed play on a boombox his older friends had left at his house. Out came the sounds of Adrian Street, live from the Blue Monkey, and his life was changed forever.

Two years later, he attended his first rave: the mighty Judgement Day in Newcastle. He can still recall getting past the bouncers using a friend's National Insurance card as ID, the heat at the top of those stairs, and the pounding bass as he opened the double doors that led to wonderland.

His brother got some decks around this time, and another love affair was born.

The Beast progressed through the Trance scene, into House and beyond, but his love of Hardcore never waned. Fast forward 32 years, and The Beast is still raving, DJing and just as much in love with Hardcore as ever.

You can catch his bi-monthly show on Toxic Sickness Radio, where he mixes Old and New Hardcore, packed with energy.
