Outland

It all started in 1993 when a friend gave me two blank cassette tapes with copies of Sterns inter dance sets from Luke Slater, Lenny Dee and Madness.

I was already into more commercial dance music but this harder techno sound immediately got me hooked on it.

A pair of belt drive turntables and a mixer followed shortly after and using my trusty tape deck I started making mix tapes in my bedroom much to my parents bemusement and wondering what I had got myself into but they soon came on board and my dad loves abit of 90's industrial strength on in the car.

I went to my first rave in July 1995 at Helter Skelter best of both worlds followed by Rezerection the Equinox Sept 1995 in a very wet Edinburgh and then started going to Dreamscape and other raves.

I've been DJing since 1993 and in the last few years have played at Marc Smith's massive official birthday stomp, Hardcore fighters UK, Soundcity festival all representing Toxic Sickness.

I've even had a couple of my own tracks released on Gabberet records a while ago.

My Toxic Sickness Resident shows are monthly and focus on Nu gen bouncy techno, industrial techno, mainstream and hardcore techno, hard techno and old school 90's. Anything goes if it can be mixed either together in the same set or separate sets.

My inspiration is Lenny Dee and I try to make my sets as musical as possible with different styles of Hardcore with some creativity thrown in where possible.
